| Summary | Service-oriented architectures hold great promise for reducing IT costs through "faster and easier customization, integration, and deployment of IT capabilities," say the authors of a recent Aberdeen Group report. In fact, Aberdeen predicts that over the next 5 years, "the top Global 2000 organizations have a potential to save $53 billion from their IT budgets as a result of SOA reducing software implementation costs."
